Quiz night is back! March 9th in the Pavilion

It seems a long time since the last Radwinter quiz was cancelled prior to the pandemic. 

The Village Hall have kindly passed the baton to the Recreation Ground Committee to this occasion to revive this traditional village event.

 

We are delighted to welcome back our usual Quizmasters Debs and John in the pavilion on Saturday 9th March.

 

Usual format - teams of up to 8. Supper provided. The only change will be the licensed bar so you won't need to bring your own.  

We are happy to match people together if you don't have a ready-made team of 8 and would like to attend.

Playground Safety

PLAYGROUND SAFETY

As the weekend approaches we are reminding people that in order to keep you, your family and other Radwinter residents safe you should follow the guidelines when using the play equipment.  We have a duty to ensure safe use of the equipment and if guidelines are not followed we will be forced to do what some of our neighbouring villages have done and close the facility completely.

 

Please note that the area is monitored by CCTV and is checked regularly.

 

COVID SAFETY GUIDELINES

1.       Please be aware of the need for social distancing and give other playground users space.

 

2.       Do NOT use the play area if you or a member of your family have coronavirus symptoms or are self-isolating

 

3.       The equipment is not being cleaned so please use hand sanitiser regularly on yours and your children’s hands and consider wiping high touch areas before use.

 

4.       Please remind children not to put their mouths on equipment or put their hands near their face.

 

5.       If this play area is busy, please come back later.

 

6.       This is shared equipment used at your own risk.

 

7.       Do not consume food or drink in the play area.

 

8.       Please dispose of your litter properly or take it home (this includes the disposal of gloves, face masks or any other PPE)

 

Radwinter Recreation Ground Playground….is now open! 

Please read the following guidance if you plan to take your children on the play equipment

After discussions with playground advisers and our insurance company we are pleased to be able to re-open the play area.  However, as with everything at the moment some restrictions apply to ensure the safety of users.

There are signs up around the play equipment and the MUGA with guidance, which if followed will help to keep yourselves, your children and other people’s children safe.  Remaining open will depend on this guidance being followed.

We will be monitoring this on a regular basis either on foot or by checking CCTV footage. 

Remember use hand sanitiser regularly and consider wiping high touch areas before use. The equipment is not being cleaned.  The responsibility lies with the users to ensure hands are cleaned before and after use.

Be aware of the need for social distancing and give other playground users space. A two-metre social distancing rule is still in place.  This should be maintained where possible by both by standing parents and children using the equipment unless part of the same household bubble. This applies over the whole of the recreation ground.

Do NOT use the play area if you or a member of your family have coronavirus symptoms or are self-isolating.  If you or your children test positive for Covid 19 shortly after using the equipment please inform us on the email address at the foot of this message.

Remind children not to put their mouths on equipment or put their hands near their face. We recognise that this is difficult, especially with small children, so it is even more important to sanitise small hands regularly.

If the play area is busy, please come back later. If your children are using the equipment please be aware that other people may be waiting to use it.  If this is the case, please be understanding and encourage your children to a move to another area. When they have been in one place for a while.

Do not consume food or drink in the play area. If you would like to picnic on the rec, please move away from the playground so that distancing guidance can still be met.

Please take your litter home with you. Leaving your litter for us to pick up puts our volunteers at risk.

Please be aware that this is shared equipment and used at your own risk.

Sent from my phoneUnfortunately the contractors are missing 2 end-caps on the new playground.
They expect them to arrive by Thursday.

The earliest that the equipment will be usable is now Thursday afternoon.

I will keep you all posted.
